Once in A Blue Moon

 "Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away"     

 The Blue Moon is breathtaking. The moon as well as a trio of peaceful deer on the frozen Skunk River escaped my camera, but I still 'see' their images.  It looks like 2010 is going to be beautiful....   

   There have been other things going on around here that inspire the words 'Once in a Blue Moon':  Luke's taking up cooking (his departed deer friend)!  Lydia's been painting glasses from photographs (although, she's always painting and creating), and Jen and Ben have been watching some of the American Film Institute (AFI) Top 100 Movies of All Time.  Last night: Casablanca.  How appropriate:  'As Time Goes By' ....

.....and Avatar ushers in the next decade.
