Ironically I wouldn't have submitted this photo if not encouraged by two of my favorite photographers - Penny and Patty. I had other photos I preferred, but respected their advice.....next year I'm commissioning you two to select all of my entries....
Synchronicity
The population of Greater Boston is 4.5 million people. The odds of randomly meeting someone you know in Boston (who doesn't yet know you're in town) is quite remote. So, my mathematical genius friends, what are the odds of running into someone not once, but twice in two days - once in downtown Boston and the next day, randomly, in a surrounding Boston community.....Synchronicity: "temporally coincident occurrences of acausal events."
Regardless the meaning, it was wonderful to see 'Texas' cousins (now moved to Boston) Ann, Jeff, Ava, and Owen - 3 times!! Ava is quite the young artist, while Owen is an up-and-coming drummer.

The gulls were fun. The kayaking was nice, but not too exciting....
...except for a few thunderstorms one afternoon...
